Original Story (10/23/23): Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance are back with new colorways of the 550 and 650 for Fall/Winter 2023 as part of their ongoing “International Friendship Through Basketball” series.
The new collection features colors inspired by the Masaryk Community Gym located in NYC’s Lower East Side, which Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance refurbished in Spring of 2022. The low-top 550s feature vintage-like cream uppers and is offered in two color options: green and gold/purple. The high-top 650 counterpart is also offered in these color options, though the leather uppers come in white instead of cream. Special features include mesh netting on the N logos and ankle collars and the ALD x NB apple/basketball hybrid logo on the heels and tongues.
The draw for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 & 650 FW23 “Masaryk” collection is open now on the Aimé Leon Dore website and closes October 26th at midnight ET. Check out all four colorways below.
Update (10/31/23): All four colorways will be seeing a wider release on November 2nd via the New Balance website (links: 550, 650) and select retailers.
