After years of anticipation, the first drop from Fear of God Athletics is now live. After taking a look at the apparel, we now take an official look at the debut footwear offering from Jerry Lorenzo x adidas.
The star silhouette of the collection is “The One,” officially called I BASKETBALL online and on the box label. The mid-top shoe features a premium knit upper, a neoprene collar, a sculpted translucent outsole, and a 3 Stripes molded cage inspired by the adidas Predator cleat. Additional features include ankle bungee lacing with toggle, no-sew TPU film overlays, and Lightstrike cushioning in the midsole. This model is offered in a triple black “Carbon” colorway as well as a Carbon/Sesame colorway that is nicknamed “Question,” referencing the different-colored toe cap design from Allen Iverson’s signature Reebok shoe which Lorenzo previously referenced with the Nike Air Fear of God 1 “The Question.”
Also part of the debut release is the ’86 Lo, a modernized reinterpretation of the classic adidas Rivalry silhouette. Uppers are dressed in full premium washed suede, while underfoot is a molded cupsole and a contoured full rubber outsole. This shoe is offered in three colorways: Talc, Clay, and Sesame.
The third silhouette is the Los Angeles Runner, a reimagining of the adidas L.A. Trainer originally released in 1984 in celebration of the Los Angeles 1984 Summer Olympics. While the original silhouette featured a mesh base, the FOG Los Angeles Runner is constructed from durable ripstop with premium suede overlays. Additional features include a padded tongue, molded cupsole, and wavy rubber outsole. This shoe is currently only offered in one colorway, “Sesame Cloud.”
Rounding out the footwear is a Fear of God version of the Adilette slide. It features a low profile shape, contrasting stitch detail, and an improved footbed for a better stance. The jagged 3-Stripes on the strap are crafted from leather, while a Fear of God logo is embossed on the lateral sole. The FOG Adilette comes in a Cream/White colorway.
