Crenshaw Skate Club was founded in 2017 by emerging designer Tobey McIntosh when he saw the need for a collective that highlighted and supported the skateboarding community of color in his city. Since then, Crenshaw Skate Club has expanded into a full-fledged skate brand that has gained the attention of celebrities and larger fashion labels alike.
The Los Angeles-based brand is now teaming up with Pharrell Williams’ ICECREAM to release a limited-edition capsule collection. Designed in part by 19-year-old McIntosh, the collection aims to celebrate the young and free-spirited lifestyle of skateboarding. Tobey’s playful designs are inspired by the kids on his block and are seen across the 4-piece capsule that includes a hoodie, t-shirt, trucker hat, and skate deck.
To celebrate the launch of this collaboration, ICECREAM and Crenshaw Skate Club will be hosting a skatepark tour in Los Angeles on October 15th. A co-branded truck will be visiting Jackie Tatum Skate Park, Charmette Bonpua Skate Plaza, and Westchester Skate Plaza to give away freebie tees, stickers, and more.
The ICECREAM x Crenshaw Skate Club capsule will be available via the BBC ICECREAM website starting Saturday, October 15th. Check out the campaign imagery below.
