Comme des Garçons has collaborated with Nike on various silhouettes over the years, ranging from Foamposites to Dunks to most recently the Air Pegasus 2005 for Fall/Winter 2023. Now, as part of their Spring/Summer 2024 offering, the label helmed by Rei Kawakubo teams up with the Swoosh on an ACG model, the Mountain Fly 2 Low.
First debuted in Paris in June 2023 during the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Spring/Summer 2024 ‘Beyond Reality’ show, the CDG x Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 is a clean and simplistic take on the trail-ready sneaker. CDG’s signature monochromatic aesthetic is applied to the three colorways: one in all white, another in all black, and the third in a two-tone black and white. Like standard Mountain Fly 2s, these come reinforced with an extended toe cap and mountain-tough rubber sidewalls, while the breathable mesh upper helps keep your feet from overheating and lets you air out quickly when wet. In line with the minimalist aesthetic, the only CDG branding is found on the insoles.
