Since 2021, Canada Goose and the NBA have been releasing annual collections for All-Star Weekend in collaboration with some of the most talented fashion designers in the biz. Rhuigi Villaseñor of RHUDE kicked things off, followed by Salehe Bembury and UNION, and now it’s time for Colm Dillane of KidSuper to get in on the action.
First previewed during Paris Fashion Week, the KidSuper x Canada Goose x NBA collection sits at the intersection of art, culture, and sports, with Dillane’s whimsical and lighthearted approach to design at the center of it all.
“I approach life as an adventure, every single day and I’m constantly inspired by communities with a distinct culture at their heart – whether in fashion, art, sport or music,” says Colm Dillane. “It’s been a real collaborative partnership with Canada Goose, pushing the boundaries of art and design to create a truly original collection that brings together fun and functionality.”
Dillane has created two original artworks for this collection, both applied to Canada Goose’s Crofton Puffer ($1,350). The first is titled “Purple Crowd,” which depicts an abstract group of excited fans within a stadium, paying homage to human connectivity through sports. The second print, “Landscape,” illustrates snowy mountain peaks with frozen waters below, exemplifying the Canada Goose ‘Live in the Open’ ethos. These prints are also applied to the collection’s Reversible Vest ($950), with one print on each side.
Also included in the collection is a Reversible Fleece Jacket ($1,050), one side featuring a unique Multi Pile Fleece with three distinctive heights to mimic the abstract topography of a lush moss landscape. On the reverse side is a Recycled Feather Light Ripstop for a clean finish and subtle tonal branding. Rounding out the offering is a Jacquard Toque ($275), double-layered and crafted from a Merino Wool Blend, offered in both custom prints.
The unveiling of the collection coincides with the announcement of a multi-year partnership between Canada Goose and NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Shai is the brand’s newest Global Brand Ambassador and is featured the collection’s campaign imagery.
