Bodega and Saucony have a long history of collaborations together, starting with their first project together in 2008, a three-pack of Courage TR colorways. The two have now revealed the next entry in their deep catalog, the Grid Shadow 2 “Jaunt Woven.”
The Grid Shadow 2 “Jaunt Woven” marks the 43rd collaboration between Saucony and the “hidden in plain sight” boutique. Bodega opts for an “au naturale” look on this one, with uppers featuring textiles in their undyed state. Mesh uppers are made from woven natural hemp, cotton, and stone-washed 180z canvas, a mix of textiles inspired by hippie and stoner culture. Hits of forest green and brown add to the nature-inspired look, while neon green embroidered branding and bright red accents on the heels, tongues, and toe bumpers add a pop of flair. Lastly, underfoot is a speckled gum rubber outsole made with recycled materials that adds another layer of eco-consciousness to the design.
