Air Jordan 1 Mid “New Love” Returns for Retro Release

0

Jordan Brand’s release calendar for 2025 is filled with grails and iconic colorways, so it’s easy for more obscure retros to fly under the radar. Such is the case with the Air Jordan 1 Mid “New Love,” one of the most popular AJ1 Mid colorways of all time, returning just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “New Love” originally released in 2007 as part of a two-pair
“Old Love, New Love” pack (aka the “Beginning Moments Pack”), which also included a Black Toe pair. This OLNL pack came in a special double-stacked slide-out box, with the “Old Love” Black Toe pair representing MJ’s love for basketball and the black/yellow “New Love” pair representing Jordan’s love for motorsports.

After returning in 2017 for its 10th anniversary, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “New Love” is back once again as a solo release for 2025. The pair features a mix of yellow leather and black synthetic nubuck across the upper, with additional details including a bubble Wings logo on the lateral ankle collar, and black padded nylon tongue, and a translucent yellow outsole. One detail that sets this pair apart from the 2007 and 2017 releases is the absence of the Jumpman logo on the back of the heel for a cleaner look. The 2025 pair also comes with new special packaging designed to pay tribute to the special box that the OG pair came in.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE “New Love” is available now at select retailers such as DTLR, Scheels, Shiekh, Xhibition, and Hibbett. Check out the official images below.
