Converse is releasing a trio of Chuck Taylor All Stars inspired by characters from the hit manga and anime series Naruto Shippuden.
The pack includes three colorways of the classic canvas high-top sneaker, each representing a different shinobi from the series. The “Naruto” colorway comes in Uzumaki Naruto’s classic orange and is adorned with the Eight Sign Seal located on his abdomen that seals the Nine-Tails within him. The “Sasuke” colorway is inspired by Sasuke Uchiha’s off-white robe and purple rope belt and features the cursed mark he received from Orochimaru. Lastly, the “Gaara” colorway is inspired by his crimson red Kazekage outfit. It features the “愛” symbol from his forehead on the lateral side panel, while the midsole receives cracked texture finish and is decorated with the symbol found on his sand gourd.
Each pair of Naruto x Converse Chuck Taylors replaces the usual All Star patch with a 3D metallic silver iteration, inspired by a shinobi’s weapon of choice: the shuriken. The shoes also feature bumper plates on the back of the midsoles that are designed to look like each character’s metal forehead protectors—Hidden Leaf for Naruto, crossed-out Hidden Leaf for Sasuke, and Hidden Sand for Gaara.
