Original Story (02/07/24): Jordan Brand is dropping a collection of ultra lux Made In Italy Air Jordan 1s as part of their ongoing “Wings” series. Each pair in this collection is crafted from premium leather and will come with a premium price tag to match.
Revealed so far are three pairs from the collection, an ’85 High and two ’85 Lows. The High and the first Low feature all-white premium leather uppers with natural tan leather trim on the overlays. These both come with white midsoles and dark gum outsoles. A second Low also features all-white leather construction, though it foregoes the hints of natural tan leather and opts for a black Swoosh. This pair comes with a white midsole and white rubber outsole. Other details that set these apart from standard AJ1s are their debossed Wings logos and the tongue tags that feature the Wings logo alongside “Made In Italy” branding. These will come with special packaging and will release alongside special Jordan Wings apparel.
As the collection comes with the “Wings” moniker, it is believed that proceeds from sales will benefit the Jordan Brand Wings program, which offers access to education and mentorship for disadvantaged youth.
The Made In Italy Air Jordan 1 ’85 Wings are expected to drop this spring on SNKRS and at select retailers. Though yet to be confirmed, the Highs are rumored to be priced at $975 and the Lows at $875. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
