adidas Is Bringing Back the Crazy 1 “Lakers Home”

0

The return of the adidas Crazy 1 has not been entirely smooth. The “Sunshine” colorway of Kobe Bryant’s 2000 signature model (originally released as “The Kobe”) was set to hit the market in October, though adidas recalled pairs due to a quality control issue. Hopefully this issue doesn’t carry over to other colorways, as the Three Stripes has plans to release a handful of other iterations, some new and some old. Falling into the latter category is the return of the “Lakers Home” colorway.

The “Lakers Home” Crazy 1 originally released in 2006. By this time, Kobe Bryant had already switched over to team Nike, so all Kobe-related branding was removed for this retro release. The pair features a white molded upper (similar to the OG “Stormtrooper” colorway), with pops of Lakers purple on the tongue branding, toe cap, midsole shank, and heel strip. Rounding out the color palette is hits of gold on the sockliner and outsole.

The adidas Crazy 1 “Lakers Home” is currently set to drop on November 11th via German sneaker boutique Asphaltgold, though expect a wider release in the coming weeks on adidas.com and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
