Two Japanese streetwear OGs, Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and Tetsu Nishiyama’s WTAPS, are kicking off 2022 with a new collaborative collection. This will be the duo’s first collaboration in over two decades!
The lookbook for the collection features direction from stylist Akio Hasegawa, who used scissors and paper to employ a cut-and-paste collage aesthetic to the photos, in line with previous works he’s done with WTAPS. In the lookbook, we see the model dressed in various pieces in a black/dark navy color scheme adorned with the phrase “ONE ON ONE,” the title of the collection. This includes a jacket, hoodie, pants with a zipper running down the legs, a cap, and a zipper-equipped Converse Chuck 70 style.
The WTAPS x UNDERCOVER “ONE ON ONE” collection launches on Saturday, January 8th. Look for it on WTAPS.com, the UNDERCOVER website, and select retailers.
