UNDEFEATED and Nike have teamed up once again, this time to celebrate 20 years of the LA streetwear brand and the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1. The project features fresh takes on the Air Force 1 in multi-color patent leather, with the first colorway dubbed the “Community.”
First spotted a couple months back, this “Community” UNDEFEATED Air Force 1 features a mix of Teal Green, Cyan Blue, Topaz Gold, and Smoke Grey across the panels of the upper, while underfoot is an off-white midsole. UNDEFEATED’s Five Strikes logo is embossed on the lateral heel and also appears on the tongue tags. Additional details include a translucent TPU swoosh, yellow “UNDFTD” lace dubraes, and custom graphics on the insoles.
To celebrate the launch of the “Community” colorway, UNDEFEATED and Nike linked with Compton Community Garden and Feed the Streets LA to help the local homeless population through weekly donations and job interview prep, as well as hosting volunteer gardening sessions. The first of these events took place this past Saturday in Los Angeles.
The UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Force 1 “Community” will be North America exclusive, dropping on Sunday, November 13th at UNDEFEATED locations in the US and on the UNDEFEATED website. A wider release will follow on November 14th at select Nike NBHD retailers.
