Following the release of the Jumpman Jack T-REXX earlier this year, Travis Scott has now officially launched another signature shoe with Nike, the Zoom Field Jaxx.
The new model combines design elements from two ’90s Nike models, the Land Shark cleat and the Zoom Spiridon, which makes sense why these were originally being called the Nike Shark-A-Don. Forefoot straps with mesh paneling are somewhat reminiscent of the Air Diamond Turf, adding to the turf sport aesthetic.
According to Nike’s description of the Zoom Field Jaxx, the shoe “caters to Travis’ nonstop lifestyle as an elite, high-energy performer” and “delivers traction, comfort and breathability when embracing the rigorous, ’round-the-clock grind.”
The Zoom Field Jaxx makes its debut in a clean “Sail” colorway, launched today as a shock drop on SNKRS that coincides with MLB All-Star 2024. Teaser videos leading up to the drop featured cameos from some of baseball’s top superstars: Ken Griffey Jr., Bo Bichette, and Randy Arozarena.
Similar to the shock drop of the Air DT Max 96 during Super Bowl weekend, this MLB All-Star shock drop for the Zoom Field Jaxx was extremely limited. If Travis’ rollout is anything like Coach Prime’s, expect a wider release in the near future.
