Philippines-Based TITAN and Nike Team Up on the LeBron 17

0

Original Story (07/22/20): TITAN, one of Manila’s premier sneaker retailers, has once again teamed up with Nike for a bold Lebron 17 Low fit for a king in celebration of the Phillipines’ love of basketball.

Following last year’s “Agimat” 16 Low, the upcoming collab is dressed almost entirely in a rich, bold red and complemented by gold stitching accents. With an upper composed of Battleknit and synthetic overlays that celebrate TITAN’s ten years in business, the shoe serves to highlight the connection forged between LeBron and the Philippines through basketball. While the shoe’s overlays almost look like a relief sculpture, the tongue badge found at the top of the model combines TITAN’s lightning bolt logo with LeBron’s crown motif and the words “Para Sa Kadakilaan,” meaning “strive for greatness.”  Finally, the model is rounded out by a gold-speckled midsole encasing the shoe’s beefy Air units.

“LeBron has always had a deep connection with Filipinos, as we all share his unique love for the game,” noted Nikko Ramos, Brand Connections Director for TITAN. “This shoe’s design and storytelling is a true testament to the partnership.”

The TITAN x Nike LeBron 17 Low releases via TITAN’s physical locations and webstore on August 1st for $160 USD followed by a drop at Nike’s Park Fort location on August 8th. You can check out TITAN’s announcement video and photos of the shoe down below.

Update (07/24/20): The TITAN LeBron 17 Low arrives in North America on August 8th as revealed in Nike Basketball’s Late Summer 2020 lineup. Expect a release via SNKRS.
