Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has teamed up with New Era Japan on a collection of headwear and apparel to kick off 2022.
The collection consists of twenty different styles, with silhouettes included 59FIFTY fitteds, 9FIFTY snapbacks, 9FORTY trucker hats, and more. Graphics are either embroidered or printed and feature Murakami’s iconic flowers and characters such as Mr. DOB and Kaikai and Kiki combined with the New Era flag logo. Aside from caps, the collection also includes beanies and long and short sleeved tees.
The Takashi Murakami x New Era collection launches exclusively in Japan on Saturday, January 1st on the New Era Japan website and select New Era stores. For those outside of Japan, you can try looking for a proxy or copping on StockX or eBay after the launch.
