“The Story of Marvel Studios” Details the Creation of the MCU

Marvel Studios has succeeded in creating a universe so vast and detailed that it necessitates an entire illustrated anthology. So was born The Story of Marvel Studios, a fully authorized, historical account of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For the first time ever, Marvel Studios and ABRAMS Books is releasing a point of reference for all things Marvel, as told by involved producers, writers, directors, artists, actors and crew. With much ground to cover regarding The Infinity Saga‘s 23 films, the book recounts stories, anecdotes and personal memories from the conception to the premiers. In case you aren’t caught up on more than a decade of superhero narratives, from Iron Man (2008) to Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), the book, as co-authored by Tara Bennett and Paul Terry, relive the iconic truths about the studio and films themselves.

More than 200 interviews make their way on to the pages, featuring nearly every key contributor of the films. For an added visual bonus, one can also find over 200 exclusive behind-the-scenes shots and archival promotion material. More personal pictures and cinematic souvenirs from the cast and crew can also be scene, drawing franchise and fanbase together for one more hoorah.

The book itself splits between two volumes, 512 pages in all, bound in foil-stamped cloth. It also features a metallized slipcase with illustrations by Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding, a foreword by President of Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Kevin Feige and an afterword by Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.
