After being crowned the 2020 sneaker designer of the year Salehe Bembury parted ways with Versace and began working independently with sneaker brands. With the highly successful roll out of his New Balance 2002R this fall and teasing an additional colorway on the way we finally get a release date for the long awaited ANTA collab that Bembury has been dropping hints about for the better part of 6 months.

Bembury challenged ANTA to make a shoe available for less than $100 without making it look like a shoe that costs less than $100 as is often the case. The rugged two silhouette collaboration comes in a multitude of colors that embrace the outdoor spirit of the brand and Bembury’s personal interests. They’re perfect for the mid day hikes around California that Salehe is known for on his IG stories.

The SB-01 has a neoprene and TPE waterproof shell and an inner booty that can be worn together or on their own. A rugged sole and a 3D detailed midsole give unique dimension to the sleek high version of the shoe. The SB-02 is the low-top edition and features a layered upper in neoprene, elastic knit, and TPU. It sits atop the same rugged sole and chunk 3D midsole that the SB-01 uses.

Bembury announced the release of his ANTA collaboration on his private @beaspunge Instagram account, sharing photos of a photoshoot with Aminé donning a ghillie suit and a blue pair of SB-02s, captioned with the release date, January 26th. Expect these to drop on
