21 Japanese Streetwear Labels Team Up on BLM Benefit Tee

A massive coalition of Japanese streetwear brands and fashion houses have joined forces on a tee to benefit Black Lives Matter, the Equal Justice Initiative, and other organizations that “invest in the future of the Black American community via education.”

Following in the footsteps of Fear of God’s recent massive team-up benefit tee involving Off-White, NOAH, and Pyer Moss, it looks like this release was spearheaded by Japanese designer Verdy. The shirt’s front is emblazoned with the words “JAPANESE SOLIDARITY WITH BLACK LIVES MATTER,” and the back features the names of all of the 21 brands supporting the project: AMBUSH, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, Bounty Hunter, Cav Empt, Descendant, Girls Don’t Cry, Human Made, HYKE, Hysteric Glamour, kolor, Maison Kitsuné, NEIGHBORHOOD, N.HOOLYWOOD, nonnative, Sacai, SOPH., TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist, UNDERCOVER, Wacko Maria, White Mountaineering, and WTAPS.

This truly one-of-a-kind team-up tee will be available for pre-order for Japanese residents from 11am on Saturday, June 20th until 10:59am on Monday, June 22nd via humanmade.jp. US residents will be able to pre-order the shirt through bbcicecream.com from Friday June 19th at 9:59pm until Sunday June 21st. Verdy has stated that all profits will be donated directly to the organizations listed above. Take a look at the tee and see the official announcement down below.
