Today, Sacai unveiled its Men’s Spring/Summer 2021 and Women’s Pre-Spring Resort 2021 collections. Though we didn’t get a usual high-fashion runway show, we did get some photos and even a video preview of the upcoming seasonal collection, which include a sneak peek at a couple upcoming Nike collabs.
Chitose Abe has chosen the theme “Love Over Rules” for this campaign, a phrase coined by American artist Hank Willis Thomas to spread the message of inclusion and unity. Abe explains “even before the coronavirus situation, I believed in this idea. No matter your race, culture, or sexuality, love overrules.”
The first three photos shown below are from a special website created for the season, warp-project.jp, while the rest of the photos are runway at-home looks. They reveal orange and green colorways of the Sacai x Nike Blazer Low (which we previously reported on), as well as purple and beige colorways of the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle, a new silhouette that is expected to make its debut this Fall.
