Earlier this year, Reebok’s parent company Authentic Brands Group announced a new partnership with Global Citizen, the international advocacy organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty across the world. Through this partnership, the two will be releasing product capsules designed to inspire and encourage individuals to address the most important issues our world is facing.
The first collection, titled “Take Action,” was created to highlight the role that education plays in driving equity with marginalized communities. Each product in the new collection features a QR code that takes consumers to the Take Action online platform. There, visitors can learn how millions of young people across the global risk missing out on education due to systemic discrimination, disaster, and displacement. The platform also features a petition in support of Education Cannot Wait (ECW) that calls on world leaders to help ensure everyone has access to education.
Reebok x Take Action features two iconic footwear styles — the Club C Revenge and Classic Leather — as well as a range of apparel that includes a t-shirt, long-sleeve, and hoodie, all displaying the co-branded Reebok x Global Citizen logo and hints of red and black, Global Citizen’s trademark colors.
To further amplify this mission, Reebok and Global Citizen have partnered with Dieter Cantu, a Texas-based changemaker and winner of the 2022 Reebok Human Rights Award. Cantu stars in the campaign for the project, and the organizations have donated to Cantu’s Books, a non-profit program built to help improve literacy among Texas’s incarcerated youth.
The Global Citizen x Reebok “Take Action” collection drops November 14th in the US on Reebok.com and the Global Citizen online store. The collection will be available globally starting early 2024. Check out the product imagery and campaign video starring Dieter Cantu below.
