Reebok is bringing back their classic basketball sneaker, the BB 4000 II, in three colorways that pay homage to the golden age of basketball in the 80s and 90s.
Reebok will take a blast from the past as the BB 4000 II comes in Boston, Twilight Zone, and No Look colorways. The “Boston” pair comes in a white/green color scheme, nodding to the Boston Celtics’ 1986 NBA playoff run. The “Twilight Zone” colorway pays homage to the OG 1990 Reebok Twilight Zone, worn by Atlanta Hawks player Dominique Wilkins. Lastly, the “No Look” pays tribute to basketball veteran Dee Brown and the Pump Omni Zone II.
Extra Butter will be hosting a special release for the “Boston” BB 4000 II this week. The New York City-based retailer has teamed up with artist Jack Moore, who stars in the campaign and uses the classic shoe as his blank canvas. Moore’s art is inspired by New York City’s essence and displays a range of human experiences through thoughtful color selection and thought-provoking compositional elements. Moore also shows how he can customize the Reebok BB 4000 II in a new campaign video with Extra Butter.
The Reebok BB 4000 II will be available in three colorways starting on Friday, October 28th, on Reebok.com and at select retailers. Extra Butter will be dropping the “Boston” colorway at special pop-ups at their Long Island City and Lower East Side stores on October 28th, as well as online.
