Original Story (10/14/22): After bringing back the white/red colorway this past summer, Reebok now has plans to re-release the OG black/gold colorway of Allen Iverson’s Answer DMX.
This colorway of the Reebok Answer has only released two other times: its debut in 1997 during Iverson’s second season in the NBA, followed by a re-release in 2013. The pair features a black tumbled leather upper with gold accents throughout, a white midsole, and a slightly translucent dark grey outsole embedded with gold glitter. A special feature on the 2022 version is the messaging on the backside of the tongues that reads “The Question has Been Answered” followed by AI’s stats from his rookie season, highlighting how these originally dropped following Iverson’s spectacular Rookie of the Year season.
