Original Story (04/25/22): In early April, we saw the release of the Off-White x Nike Blazer Low, Virgil Abloh’s first Nike collaboration to drop since his untimely passing last November. It looks like the next posthumous release will be a new installment in Abloh’s series of limited edition Air Force 1s.

This series of Off-White x Nike Air Force 1s includes special colorways released to coincide with the opening of Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” art exhibition at various museums. The blue “MCA” colorway, for example, released when the exhibit opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, while the yellow “Lemonade” colorway released as part of the exhibit opening at ICA Boston. Next up is the “Light Green Spark” colorway.

This colorway features many of the same design motifs as the previous museum AF-1s. It goes for a tonal look, with the leather upper and cupsole underfoot both completely dressed in the same green hue. A metallic silver Swoosh dresses the side panels, while signature Off-White x Nike branding appears on the medial side. The main difference from previous releases beside the color change is the addition of a cut-out hole on the tongue.

The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “Light Green Spark” is rumored to release as part of Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition opening at Brooklyn Museum in July. Grab a detailed look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
