UNION Los Angeles kicked off 2021 with the announcement of over a dozen collaborative projects in celebration of the retailer’s 30th anniversary. Since then, we’ve seen the release of collection created with the likes of BAPE, Cactus Plant Flea Market, and NOAH, just to name a few. Next up on the list is a collab with OAMC.
OAMC is known for its dedication to self-expression and high quality in their garments. Luke Meier, founder of OAMC and co-creative director of Jil Sander with his wife Lucie, first met Union’s Chris Gibbs in 1997 and the two quickly became close friends. The OAMC x UNION capsule celebrates that long-lasting friendship.
The capsule is comprised of four pieces: OAMC’s signature quilted liner jacket, an ultra-thick snap button collared shirt, a heavy ounce crew neck pocket tee, and a pair of pants made from the same thick material as the aforementioned shirt. All four come in navy and beige colorways and are treated with a special dye and bleaching process, making each individual piece unique. Each piece also features co-branded embroidered patches on the front left side, while on the inner side is an autographed message from Luke congratulating UNION on their 30 years.
The OAMC x UNION 30th Anniversary capsule drops this Thursday, February 3rd at 9AM PST exclusively on OAMC.com and via UNION LA. Releasing via UNION Tokyo on February 4th.
