Original Story (04/15/20): Earlier this year, we saw the unveiling of the Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough”, a weed-inspired colorway that was set to release in celebration of 4/20. With the stoner holiday only 5 days, we have a surprise unveiling of another 420 colorway, the SB Dunk High “Granddaddy Purp.”
This colorway features a two-toned purple upper dressed in hairy suede, accented by green on the Swoosh and heel tab. Although we don’t have a clear look, we can see Todd Bratrud’s artwork of a purple bearded creature on the insoles. While the “Strawberry Cough” pair featured a coughing strawberry on the heel, this pair features a x/420 numbering, implying that this release is limited to 420 pairs.

Update (04/20/20): Familia Skateboard Shop in Minneapolis has announced that the Copdate release details of the Granddaddy Purps will arrive at 4:20pm CDT today. Stay tuned.
Update (04/16/20): More photos of the Nike SB Dunk High “420” have surfaced. While we originally nicknamed these “Granddaddy Purp”, this pair is also being called the Reverse Skunks, as they feature the opposite color blocking of the 2010 “Skunk” colorway. A better look at the insoles show a purple skunk graphic by artist Todd Bratrud. Check out the additional photos below.
