Original Story (01/08/24): Nike’s CO.JP releases from the late ’90s and early ’00s are considered grails amongst collectors today. Due to them being released in limited quantities and exclusively in Japan, pairs from this series can be difficult to track down. Thankfully, Nike has decided to bring back some of these CO.JP colorways as part of its Summer 2024 lineup, including the Dunk Low “Ultraman” from 1999.
This Dunk Low features a red base with grey overlays, essentially a reverse color scheme to the “UNLV” colorway from the OG Be True To Your School pack. Though not officially affiliated with the tokusatsu hero, the colorway has been nicknamed “Ultraman” as its color scheme matches the colors on Ultraman’s body suit.
The “Ultraman” Dunk Low is only one of the CO.JP retro releases on Nike’s 2024 release calendar. The Swoosh is also bringing back the “Reverse Curry” Dunk Low this January and will be bringing back the “Linen” Air Force 1 later this summer.

Update (04/19/24): The return of the Dunk Low “Ultraman” is set for May 3rd. This drop is part of Nike’s new “Cult Classics” program that includes the return of other grails such as the “Linen” AF1s and the “Ugly Duckling” pack.
