Nike Dunk Low “Ugly Duckling” Pack Returns In 2024

Original Story (08/01/23): Nike is bringing back some of its most coveted Dunk Lows for a re-release in 2024, including colorways from the “Ugly Duckling” pack.

Sometimes called the “Ugly Dunkling” pack, these Dunk Lows originally released in 2001 as a CO.JP (Japan exclusive) and were brought back for the first time ever in 2020. The pack includes the purple-based “Plum” colorway, the green and brown “Veneer” colorway, and the orange and black “Ceramic” colorway. The pack was named “Ugly Duckling” for its unconventional color palette, and though the colors are a bit odd, the suede executions take these to a whole ‘nother level.

The rollout for the “Ugly Duckling” pack is expected to be similar to the rollout in 2020, with the “Plum” colorway dropping first in Spring 2024, followed by the other two shortly after. These 2024 pairs have the same style codes as the ones released in 2020, though the production dates will differ as the they are newly produced.

The “Ugly Duckling” pack release in 2020 came during a Dunk craze when every colorway would sell out instantly. Some of the hype has since died down, and the retail price has been bumped up $15, but these colorways are sure to still be a hit once they return to shelves and SNKRS in 2024. Update (03/01/24): Nike has officially announced the return of the Dunk Low “Plum” on the latest episode of SNKRS Live. They will be available March 21st on SNKRS and at select stockists.

Update (04/17/24): Following the release of the “Plum,” next up is the “Veneer,” dropping April 25th at select retailers and April 27th on SNKRS.
