Nike Dunk Low “Niwashi” Pays Homage to Japanese Gardening

0

Nike is releasing a new Dunk Low that pays tribute to the art of Japanese gardening and the peace and tranquility that Japanese gardens inspire.

The “Niwashi” (Gardener) Dunk Low features an indigo denim construction for its base, a material typically used for workwear. White Sashiko-like stitching appears on the quarter and rear panels. Beige suede is used for the overlays, along with white leather for the Swoosh and Silver Pine green for the tongue tag and heel panel. A peace symbol with roots is stamped onto the lateral heel. The shoe comes with a set of pins and a bandana with gardening-themed graphics. It all comes packaged in a special edition box that reads “Rooted In Peace,” “Positive Energy,” “For The Body, For The Mind, For The Earth,” and “庭師ダンク” which translates to “Gardener Dunk.”

The Nike Dunk Low “Niwashi” is expected to release via Nike Japan and Japanese retailers next month. No word yet on a stateside release but stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for any additional release info. Check out official images below in the meantime.
