Shortly after the reveal of the “Sashiko” Air Force 1, additional plans for Nike’s use of traditional Japanese stitching have surfaced with the reveal of two Blazer Mid 77 colorways.
The first comes with eye-catching navy blue lattice-weaved uppers with black suede overlays on the eyestay, forefoot, and rear heel. It pairs nicely with black Swooshes on the side panels. The laces round out the design with bright red atop a clean white set and gold upper eyelets for an added bonus. The model sits on a white midsole and a gum rubber outsole with Japanese characters sitting neatly on the heels and insole. The second offering comes in a more delicate shade of pink with the same upper style and suede overlays. The laces and heel characters remain the same as its navy blue brother, but this time, the Swoosh is white to complement the lighter overlays.
Both Nike Blazer Mid 77 “Sashiko” styles are slated to release in the coming weeks, with Asia retailers reporting a February 2nd release. Check out official images of both styles below and keep it locked to Modern Notoriety for official release updates.
