Original Story (06/16/20): In line with the shoe’s upcoming 30th anniversary, reports indicate that the Air Structure Triax—a long time favorite among archive Nike collectors—will be making its return early next year.
Originally touted as providing supreme cushioning and stabilization compared to other performance running shoes on the market at the time, the Structure Triax originally released in 1991 and received a limited-edition retro in 2008. The shoe was also the first to make use of an asymmetrical airbag, and its original release fell within Nike’s first few years of experimentation with Air Max technology.
While no official details have been released, the Nike Air Structure Triax is purported to arrive in a “handful of colorways” early next year. Take a look at last decade’s retro of the shoe below and stay tuned for official release info as next year draws closer.
