The Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago” is releasing on May 30th, 2015 at Jordan Brand retailers across the globe for a retail price of $160.
Fans of the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” might’ve been disappointed with the release under Jordan Brand a few years back but this Summer, the OG 1 High is getting the Nike Air treatment on the tongue once again.
If you’re a Purist, then you know that Nike Air has a big significance on the Air Jordan 1 tongue and the Jumpman just isn’t enough. The Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago” last released in it’s truest form back in 1994 and returns at the end of the month.
One of the eye catching details you’ll see as soon as you unbox them, is that they come unlaced which is how the originals came 30 years ago. It’s also a nod to Michael Jordan’s last game at Madison Square Garden as a Chicago Bull, where he was seen in the locker room lacing up his Air Jordan 1’s from the bottom. Michael Jordan wore the pair he stashed away for years and decided to break them out one last time before finally retiring as a Chicago Bull.
Wait tomorrow for these to release at on Nike.com or Scoop up a pair right now on Ebay.
