Original Story (09/03/21): Nike will be paying homage to New York City with the release of two NYC-themed Air Force 1 Mid colorways.
The first, dubbed the “Bronx Bomber,” comes in a Yankees-inspired color scheme. Its dressed primarily in white leather with a navy blue pinstriped sockliner and additional navy blue accents. On the gum outsoles, we see green circles with the number 4, 5, and 6, nodding to the MTA train lines that runs through Uptown and the Bronx.
The second colorway is dubbed “Concrete Jungle” and comes dressed in Cool Grey to mimic the cement of New York City streets and buildings. Both colorways feature a white jewel Swoosh and John C. Jay’s famous Nike NYC branding on the straps and heels.
