A classic ’90s basketball shoe is making its return in 2023, the Nike Air Flight Huarache.
First released in 1992, the Air Flight Huarache is a hoops version of the Air Huarache designed by Tinker Hatfield and a young Eric Avar. It was worn on the court by NBA greats such as Scottie Pippen and Kobe Bryant, though the model is best known as the shoe worn by Michigan’s Fab Five.
Nike will be bringing back the OG colorway of the Air Flight Huarache, according to a report by Complex. This colorway, last retro’d in 2014, features a mostly white upper, an inner neoprene bootie in blue and purple, and a black cage around the heel and ankle.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache OG is currently expected to release in April 2023 on Nike.com and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
