Nike Is Bringing Back the OG “Atlanta” Air Diamond Turf

Deion Sanders and Nike reignited their partnership in 2024 with the return of the Air Diamond Turf Max ’96. More of Prime Time’s signature shoes are now set to return in 2025, including the original Air Diamond Turf.

The Air Diamond Turf was Deion Sanders’ first signature shoe, originally released in 1993 in a red, white, and black “Atlanta” colorway, paying homage to Sanders’ time as a two-sport athlete, playing for both the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. Some people incorrectly call this the “49ers” colorway, as this Air Diamond Turf was launched a year before Deion Sanders signed on to play for the San Francisco team in 1994.

Last retro’d in 2017, the OG “Atlanta” Air Diamond Turf is now hitting shelves once again. Staying true to the original release, the shoe features a white leather upper with black overlays and a forefoot strap adorned with a big red Swoosh. It also includes some original features that were missing from the last retro, including gold Nike Air embroidery on the heels and the original “24 and 21” logo on the tongues that incorporates both Sanders’ MLB and NFL jersey numbers.

The Nike Air Diamond Turf “Atlanta” is slated to drop February 12th on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the official images below.
