New Balance’s basketball program has been steadily growing since its relaunch in 2018 with the signing of Kawhi Leonard. Today, the brand has some of the league’s most dominant players on its roster, including Jamal Murray, who is the face of New Balance’s TWO WXY sneaker franchise.
The TWO WXY was designed for today’s “positionless” player who makes an impact on both ends of the court. The fourth iteration of the sneaker has now arrived, boasting new technological advancements not found on previous versions. With the V4, New Balance adds Fresh Foam cushioning to the mix, combining it with FuelCell technology to optimize both comfort and energy return. The upper has also been revamped with lightweight textile mesh on the forefoot and medial for breathability, paired with sturdy leather on the laterals for increased support.
The first colorway of the TWO WXY V4 will be called “Dualism”. Its black-and-white color scheme is inspired by the duality of the two-way player that gives it their all on both offense and defense. Future colorways include the “My City” in a retro Denver color palette and the “Metal Mal” inspired by Jamal Murray’s love for video games.
