Original Story (06/26/22): Mowalola Ogunlesi, the former YEEZY GAP design director and one of London’s hottest rising talents, has presented her first solo collection.
Revealed at the Nigerian-born designer’s “Burglarwear” Spring/Summer 2023 show in Paris was an assortment of sexy, BDSM-inspired looks, some paired with an upcoming collaboration with New Balance on the 9060. This is the same silhouette that Joe Freshgoods used for his “Inside Voices” collab.
The Mowalola x New Balance 9060 has been unveiled in two colorways. Both feature black mesh and leather uppers, one paired with purple overlays and yellow midsole accents and the other with teal overlays and pink accents. The N logos on the lateral side panels are made with an air-filled transparent TPU to create a unique 3D effect.
