MM6 Maison Margiela & Salomon Connect on the ACS Pro Advanced

The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon partnership made headlines earlier this year when Rihanna wore a pair of the fiery red Cross High sneakers from their FW22 collection during her Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance. The duo’s follow-up collection for Fall/Winter 2023 is now being rolled out through biweekly drops, with the next release featuring three colorways of the ACS Pro Advanced.

So far, the drops for FW23 have featured the thigh-high Cross Wader boot in Drop 1, followed by two colorways of the Cross Mid in Drop 2. While the former didn’t receive much fanfare (likely due to its unconventional design), both the “Light Blue” and “Bordeaux” colorways of the Cross Mid from Drop 2 quickly sold out on the Maison Margiela website. The ACS Pro Advanced is one of Salomon’s most wearable, everyday silhouettes, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these fly off the shelves once they land.

The MM6 ACS Pro Advanced is offered in a trio of tonal color options: black, blue, and light grey. All of the technical trail runner’s key features are present, including its breathable mesh upper, stride-stabilizing Agile Chassis System, and the patented Quicklace system. What sets these apart from standard GR colorways is the application of patent leather overlays and the co-branding found on the tongues, heel tabs, and heel counters.
