London-based streetwear label Maharishi and Reebok have come together to unveil their first collaboration, a military-inspired take on the Classic Leather Legacy AZ.
The Maharishi Reebok CL Legacy AZ “Subdued” features nylon construction with contrasting MIL-SPEC ripstop paneling. These material choices are inspired by MA-1 flight jackets, an iconic military style that is also explored in Maharishi’s Autumn/Winter 2022 collection. The olive and black color scheme adds to the military aesthetic, as they are the same colors as subdued insignia patches found on army uniforms. 3M reflective highlights add high visibility, while Reebok’s signature gum sole adds some contrast.
“The Classic Leather Legacy AZ looks futurist and modern whilst retaining what makes it an iconic shoe,” says Maharishi. “A big part of our design ethos is exploring duality, so this shoe – being a design classic infused with ultra-modern sensibility – fits well.”
The Maharishi x Reebok CL Legacy launches Friday, June 10th in-store via Maharishi’s NYC and London flagships and online on the Maharishi website (10am BST).
