Original Story (10/07/20): Ronnie Fieg has taken to Instagram to tease a Kith collab like no other before: BMW.
The two brands may seem incompatible at first glance, but both seem to stand for the same attention to detail, refined luxury, and enthusiasm for their craft within their respective fields. It’s hard to tell what form the collaboration will take, but we do know that (at the very least) they’re using a custom Kith/BMW logo plate to either unveil the collection or release as an actual product. Fieg’s teasers included an image of white-gloved hands ready to place the collaborative logo on the hood of a car and a picture of his mom with his grandfather’s 1979 BMW E21 320i.
You can take a look at both teasers down below. While we only have these limited hints at what the release will look like, it’d be somewhat surprising if there was no apparel or consumer product release to coincide with the drop. Update (10/14/20): Kith has released a video for its collaboration with BMW, which can be seen below. The Kith website has also been updated with a journal entry that includes imagery to accompany the video and another journal that showcases the collaboration’s inspiration and process. The latter entry includes a look at some Kith x BMW apparel, which can be seen below.
