Original Story (06/26/20): “Let’s go back, back to the Gap, Look at my check—wasn’t no scratch,” rapped Kanye West on the song “Spaceship” off his debut album College Dropout. That Gap check is looking a lot bigger these days as Kanye West has announced a new partnership with the American clothing retailer.
In his first tweet in over three months, Kanye West shared a first look photo of the collection with the caption #WESTDAYEVER.” The person in the photo is wearing a red jacket, blue hoodie, and is opening up a large bag that is labeled “YZY GAP.”
The YEEZY Gap partnership is believed to be a 10-year deal, with the first collection set to launch in 2021. According to a statement given to The New York Times, YEEZY will produce “modern, elevated basics for men, women and kids at an accessible price point.”
