After a six year hiatus, adidas announces that the brand will be reigniting its partnership with fashion designer Jeremy Scott, with new products releasing in Fall 2021.
The original partnership, beginning in 2003 and ending in 2015, amassed a cult fanbase over the years thanks to Jeremy Scott’s playfully avant-garde, tongue-in-cheek designs. Most famous are the shoes with stuffed animals on the tongue, such as the JS Bear, JS Poodle, and JS Gorilla, though even more popular were the winged kicks in the JS Wings series.
As Brendan Dunne reports, this revived Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals partnership will see the return of money-print sneakers, inspired by Scott’s first project with the brand in 2003. A winged money-print Forum Hi, limited to 2,400 pairs, is currently slated to release in August, followed by a Low in October. Also on the calendar are more Forums, teddy bear slides, and matching apparel.
