Jae Tips & Saucony Reunite on the ProGrid Omni 9

0

Jae Tips and Saucony had a stellar debut collaboration in 2023 with the launch of the “Remember Who Fronted” Grid Azura 2000. Its eclectic mix of vibrant colors, exotic and floral prints, and various textures was a big hit amongst sneakerheads, many of whom had never heard of Jae Tips before this sneaker. The collaboration was a big moment for Bronx native, but also for Saucony, as the brand is often overlooked by hypebeasts that are only interested in sneakers with high resale value.

Naturally, Jae Tips and Saucony followed up their debut with a second collab, the “What’s The Occasion?” Grid Shadow 2, which sold out in 8 minutes upon its online launch. A third project is now on the way, this time on the ProGrid Omni 9, a silhouette Saucony first introduced in 2010.

Jae Tips gives the mesh-based runner a colorful makeover, outfitting it in shades of pink, purple, and blue hues, with a pop of green on the sockliner for a look reminiscent of floral bouquets. SAVIOR branding appears on the tongues and lateral heel, while Jae Tips’ signature rainbow-colored flower logo appears on the medial. Jae Tips chose to rework the Omni 9 as the silhouette is known for its comfort. The box even reads “Your Day Just Got More Comfortable” on the bottom.

The Jae Tips x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 is expected to drop Fall 2024 on Jae Tips’ website, Saucony.com, and at select retailers. While the release is still months away, you may see some pairs out in the wild, as Jae Tips gave out a few pairs to those who pulled up on him at the House of Saucony pop-up during Paris Fashion Week. Also, a second colorway will be revealed closer to the release. Grab an early look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
