After dropping an impressive debut collection earlier this year, creative director Brendon Babenzien continues to bring new energy to J.Crew with the launch of a collaboration with BEAMS PLUS.
BEAMS PLUS is a spin-off brand by Japanese retailer BEAMS, known for its distinctive, Americana-inspired styles. The link-up between J.Crew and BEAMS PLUS combines and plays with prep and uniform aesthetics, which results in familiar yet unique pieces. The full collection is a thing of beauty, but some highlights include the patchwork corduroy chore jacket, argyle wool cardigan, and the military-inspired corduroy utility pants.
The campaign imagery stars director, writer, and graphic designer Mike Mills, who is captured in various locations across NYC that play meaningful roles in his life’s history, from his time as a Cooper Union student through today as a city resident.
