While J Cole and PUMA have already introduced the DREAMER 2, more colorways of their first silhouette, the RS-DREAMER, are still on the way. As a personal favorite of Dreamville and J Cole, the bright and playful RS-DREAMER “Proto” was never intended to be released and possibly never will be again.
Inspired by J Cole’s vision and PUMA’s technology, the RS-DREAMER has come a long way in fusing the two creative visionaries. The RS-DREAMER “Proto” is one amongst many prototypes that were drawn up prior to the birth of the RS-DREAMER franchise. Although the “Proto” was never intended for an actual release, both J Cole and PUMA couldn’t keep the colorway a secret any longer and decided to share the prototype that started it all with the world.
Featuring the same low-cut construction as other RS-DREAMER colorways, the “Proto” is composed of a white mesh upper and gray suede overlays. The silhouette is designed with pops of neon against an otherwise neutral background, seen in the bright blue textile cord that wraps around the back of the heel.
The J Cole x PUMA RS-DREAMER “Proto” releases on April 2nd via PUMA.com, the PUMA NYC Flagship Store, and exclusively both in-store and online across Foot Locker brands. Both adult and junior sizing will be available for $125 USD and $90 USD, respectively.
