Alongside Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson, Kobe Bryant is the latest athlete revealed to be featured as a cover star of NBA 2K21.
NBA 2K is set to pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant with a special “Mamba Forever Edition” of the game, honoring the Black Mamba’s “lifelong pursuit of victory and legacy in the sport of basketball.” The current-gen version features Kobe wearing #8, while the next-gen edition has him wearing #24.
Current-gen editions for Xbox One and PS4 launch on September 4th, while the next-gen editions arrive Holiday 2020. Players can purchase the standard current-gen game featuring Dame on the cover for $59.99 USD, or spend the $99.99 now for the Mamba Forever edition and get the next-gen version when it is released at no extra cost. Players on the next-gen systems will see that the cost of the standard game featuring Zion has increased to $69.99.
