Brain Dead doesn’t do many sports collabs. The LA-based label is more into things like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, but it also does mess with basketball. Brain Dead has teamed up with the NBA to release a six-team capsule collection, and they’re doing it their own bizarre way.
For this collaboration, Brain Dead has enlisted the help of Vilesore, an LA-based artist known for designing horror-based vinyl figures. Vilesore has reimagined the mascots of the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors in his own fear-inducing style. The resulting graphics appear on bomber jackets, tees, and Peruvian Alpaca knit sweaters.
The Brain Dead x NBA collection drops Tuesday, December 12th via the Brain Dead website and in store at Brain Dead Studios Fairfax and Brain Dead Studios Sunset. Grab a preview down below.’
