A BATHING APE is set to release a collection featuring Marilyn Monroe, one of the most photographed and influential women of the 20th century.
Monroe was born in 1926 in Los Angeles and remains an international symbol of Hollywood and American celebrity culture. Her beauty and personality continue to enthrall people worldwide. While she has graced shirts practically since the invention of the graphic tee, BAPE’s apparel selection is both playful and tasteful in its use of her image.
The collaboration features six photographs of Monroe that were carefully selected by the Marilyn Monroe estate. The collection contains six t-shirt styles that incorporate photos of the legendary actress with BAPE’s signature insignia.
