Steven Spielberg’s classic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial first released in theaters in 1982, making this year its 40th anniversary. To celebrate, BAPE is launching an E.T. collection inspired by the film’s iconic scenes and characters.
Included in BAPE’s E.T. collection is an APE HEAD tee inspired by the scene where Elliott puts E.T. in the basket of his bike and flies into the sky with the full moon shining in the background. This tee also features glow-in-the-dark branding on the back.
The bike scene is also depicted on a BABY MILO long-sleeve tee, which features “The Extra-Terrestrial” wording in reflective finish down the sleeves. BAPE is also releasing a red zip-up hoodie, a tribute to the one Elliot wore in the film. It features E.T.’s farewell words “I’ll…be…right..here.” on the cuff of the sleeve, also in a reflective finish.
