Fresh off of their One Punch Man collab, BAIT and adidas are back with another anime and manga-themed sneaker drop. This time, we are getting a Nizza Hi based on Shuichi Shigeno’s Initial D.
This Nizza Hi is themed after AE86, the Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX of the series’ protagonist Takumi Fujiwara, aka the “White Ghost of Akina.” It features a white canvas upper with a grey suede heel panel. The Initial D franchise logo is found on the lateral side panel and medial midsole, while BAIT branding is found on the stripe down the heel. The bumpers on the midsoles are textured to mimic tire treading, while the heel bumper resembles a license plate. As a final touch, the insoles feature manga graphics of the Toyota AE86.
The BAIT x Initial D x adidas Nizza Hi “Toyota AE86” is available via raffle on the BAIT website for $120 USD. Winners will be notified by Friday, July 30th. Also available that day at all BAIT US stores, FCFS.
