Harlem rapper, songwriter, and creative mind A$AP Rocky has had his hands in plenty of projects as of late. Whether it’s his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, his label and agency AWGE, or his creative director position at Ray-Ban, Rocky is no stranger to ambition. He’s also been dropping various projects with PUMA, including motorsport-themed F1 collections and the experimental Mostro 3.D. Flacko continues to lend his visionary abilities to the sportswear brand with a new twist on the Mostro, called the Mostro Disccord.
This time around, Rocky dug through the PUMA tech archives to bring the patented DISC technology to his favorite PUMA silhouette. Originally introduced in 1991, the DISC closure system can be adjusted with a twist of the disc, which loosens or tightens the internal wires for a customized fit.
Along with the reintroduced tech, the triple black sneaker features an upper that combines engineered woven textile and hot melt film construction. Other details include a molded PUMA Formstrip, a carbon fiber shank, “Flacko” branding on the insoles, and the Mostro’s signature spiked outsole.
